
The Philadelphia Freedom Concert, orchestrated and headlined by Elton John, was held two days later on the same outdoor stage from the Live eight live performance while a preceding ball was held contained in the museum. An eight.5 ft (2.6 m) tall bronze statue of the Rocky Balboa character was commissioned in 1980 and placed on the prime of the steps in 1982 for the filming of Rocky III. After filming was full, Stallone donated the statue to the city Art Galery of Philadelphia. The Philadelphia Art Commission finally determined to relocate the statue to the now-defunct Spectrum sports enviornment as a end result of controversy over its outstanding placement on the prime of the museum’s front stairs and questions about its creative merit.
